The After School Club caters to School children aged from 4 to 11 years who require after school care up to 6:00 pm.

WAKOOS staff collect the children at 3:15 pm from their respective Infant and Junior Schools in a "walking bus". They wear yellow reflective vests and walk in pairs from the schools down Station Road to WAKOOS.

On arrival the children are all offered a drink and a snack consisting of a variety of fruit. All children staying until 6pm are also given a hot meal.

We offer a variety of activities and games and the children can do their Homework if they wish. They have access to the PCs and Internet in the Children's Centre, and free flow to the Garden where they can play in the sandpit or on the climbing structure/slide!

We are in the process of developing a timetable of activities including cooking, modelling, craft, science and free choice, so that the children get a good mix of activities and can be involved in those they choose to.

The children may bring in something from home, but please remember it will have to be taken to school first so it can't be too big or heavy for the walk down to WAKOOS.
