WAKOOS is a non profit charity providing quality childcare for Billingshurst and the surrounding areas. Our premises are purpose built for the provision of childcare enabling us to provide a safe learning and play environment inside and outside to children of all abilities.

Within the 4 rooms we are able to provide child care for children from birth up to 11 years old where we follow the "Early Years Foundation Stage Framework and Guidance".

WAKOOS has two s.e.n.c.o staff (special educational needs co-ordinators).  

Key Highlights for WAKOOS:

• 2006 Outstanding report from OFSTED in all areas (First day care nursery in Sussex)
• 2007 Won Best float at the Billlingshurst Summer Carnival
• 2007 Won Community Business of the year from West Sussex County Times
• August 2008 Moved into new premises

• 2010 Development of the garden to include two tree planters, climbing frame, tunnel, willow structure and canopy.
• 2010 Introduction of Steamplicity, who provide fresh and nutritional food to the nursery.

• 2011 Introduction of a text messaging service to quickly be able to contact parents.
